  나섰다. 등으로 잘못된 쓰임과 바른 쓰임을 구분해 동호인들에게 널리 알리도록 당구장에
  포스터로 배포했다. 그동안 대한체육회 산하 대한당구연맹(KBF) 등의 올바른 당구 용어 캠페인이 여러 차례 시도된 적이 있지만 추진력 부족으로 뚜렷한 성과를 내지 못했다.
  그러나 어느 종목이건 국민의 사랑을 받는 스포츠로 도약하기 위해서는 경기규칙과 용어를 통합 정비하는 일이 선결 과제이다.
  
  팬들이 호응하고 기꺼이 성원에 나설 수 있도록 바닥을
  다지지 못하면 한때 인기는 곧 시들해진다.
  경기 용어는 의미와 정체성이 분명해야 통합의 효과를 내게 된다.
  국민이 자부심을 느끼지 못하고 오히려 모멸감까지 들게 하는 왜색 용어와 비속어는
  스포츠 현장에서 반드시 추방해야 한다. 방송 해설자와
  선수들은 바른 용어를 쓰기 위해 나름대로 노력하고 있으나 동호인들의 호응이 관건이다.
  무의식중 튀어나오는 잘못된 용어를 부끄럽게 여겨
  동호인들이 바로 쓰기 캠페인에 동참해야 당구에 대한 일반의
  인식도 올라간다. 왜색 용어를 당구 전문용어로 착각하는 몰지각한 동호인들의 언행은 저열한 인식을 확산시킬 뿐이다.
